Do I have to register ahead of time or can I buy my ticket at the conference?
Historically, the conference sells out several weeks prior to the event and no tickets are sold at the door.   We highly recommend that you purchase your ticket early to secure your place.  Furthermore, Saturday and Sunday tickets will be sold separately so please be sure to purchase tickets for both days if you want to attend the full weekend.

What is the purpose of topic tracks? Do I have to follow one??
Panel tracks were created to provide some structure for the large number of panels we offer at the conference and help you quickly identify panels by general topic. You do not have to follow a specific track: you may attend whichever panels appeal to you. Keep in mind that there is no pre-registration for panels, so seats are available on a first come, first serve basis on the day of the conference.

Are there any sessions that require pre-registration??
Certain workshops are limited capacity enrollment and require pre-registration. We will send out an email to all registered attendees to offer the opportunity to pre-register for these workshops.

Is Pitch for Change similar to a business plan competition?
Pitch for Change is social enterprise idea competition.  It is open to individuals and teams with an idea for a new social enterprise venture.  Unlike traditional business plan competitions, participants do NOT need to submit a completed business plan; entrants need only submit a 1,000-word proposal (including up to 2 exhibits) for initial consideration. Semi-finalists will pitch their ideas to a large audience and panel of judges on February 26, 2012 during the 2012 Harvard Social Enterprise Conference.
